I can appreciate your situation as I am also studying the QCG and working as an FE PA for Connexions - although I have the advantage of not having to fit in the NVQ! I must admit my social life is suffering a bit but I find it helpful to set aside regular study times during the week and stick rigidly to them! Also, I try to maximise my weekly train journey time to London for QCG for reading, making notes, etc. There's no easy solution but I hope that helps a bit!
