KNFastFolders now manages discussion content
KNFastFolders was already a wonderful way to browse through hierarchically structured content such as threaded discussions. We have recently completed the first round of making it much more than that: it is now a complete interface for participating in or managing discussions. Because fast-folders does not require complex page-builds and long round-trips between editing gestures, it is much quicker and more convenient to use than the existing Plone interfaces. Because user can simultaneously be viewing a large number of content items, all of them with their own icon-based toolbar, editing and participation gestures can be very easily invoked without having to request them.
The next step is to follow this through to put all of the Plone content-management actions within these toolbars, so that Plone sites can be completely managed through one interface, without annoying delays.
KNFastFolders will be released as an installable Plone product within the next two weeks. It integrates very closely with KNDiscussion/KNBlogging, and so we will release all of them at the same time.
