Regional distribution of employment in manufacturing, 2002/03
Table compiled using data taken from the SSDA Skills Matrix (2004) which is based on the Labour Force Survey. Table shows the proportion of people employed by region as a percentage of those employed in manufacturing comparing the proportions of those employed in the whole economy by region.
Table taken from Working Futures (2004a) shows the employment levels in actual and predicted numbers for those employed in manufacturing and recycling for 1982, 1992, 2002, 2007 and 2012 together with net change, replacement demands and total requirement. Data is based on CE/IER estimates.
