The Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA) is the national training organisation for the hairdressing and beauty industry sector. The HABIA websites contains: information on qualifications, training and routes into the sector; labour market information sub-sector skills needs; downloadable careers leaflets; information on the national occupational standards; plus continuing professional development for the sector.
The ACareerChange website aims to help those who feel stuck in a career or have an ambition to work in an alternative field. The website includes a section on the Caring and Education sector which has a profile on Changing career: holistics, hair and beauty that provides information on what the jobs entail, help in deciding whether you are right for them, and details of the training required.
