Information and trends on sectoral occupations.
National occupational standards (NOS) exist in some occupation within the sector such as:
- fundraising, aimed at those who raise funds and resources (both paid and unpaid)
- volunteers manager, to develop policy, promote volunteering snd recruit
Key occupational roles
- Charity fundraiser (responsible for achieving money-raising target through activities, campaigns and events)
- Charity officer (e.g. dealing with accounts, budget management, organising volunteers, and managing staff)
- Volunteer work organiser (co-ordination of the work of volunteers and development of voluntary opportunities)
- Advice worker (providing information and confidential advice for clients)
- Community worker (aim to empower communities to develop the skills and regain control over the quality of their lives)
- Training and development officer/manager (management of training and development of the workforce within an organisation)
- Information officer/manager (management and development of the procurement, supply and distribution of information)
- Personnel officer (development, advise on and implementation of policies related to the effective use of human resources)
