The regional workforce has a similar qualification profile, compared to all sectors in England and in the UK. 67% of the sector‘s workforce have Level 2 or below qualifications, compared with 66% in England and 65% in the UK. 14% of the workforce are qualified to Level 4 or higher, compared with 17% in England.
36% of employers in the North West report vacancies compared to 35% of employers in England. 14% of the employers report hard-to-fill vacancies, compared with 8% of in England. 7% of employers report skill shortage vacancies, compared with 9% of in England.
