Higher education provision
Across England, higher education institutions offer a wide range of courses at degree, foundation degree and HNC/HND level. Degree course enrolments across the industries vary significantly. Equine (966), animal care (865) and general agriculture (749) courses are popular. There are a limited number of enrolments on land-based engineering (46), agricultural crops (45) and agricultural livestock (11) courses. Fisheries management only had 6 enrolments in 2003/04, but there is only one provider and one course in England.
