We have recently started year 8 group interviews around fast tomato with our connexions adviser (six boys in a group) - we get through the whole cohort by Christmas and then move onto year 9 in time for options. The year 8s enjoy the personal discussion linked to a personality questionnaire conducted first around personality fit to job. We introduce fast tomato which is customised with all the school exams from year 7. We are also about to do business dynamics activity days with years 8 and 9 linking these to the Realgame and Berealgame that we do with the respective year groups. We will continue to develop CEG in years 7 and 8 so that the boys increase their world of work awareness well before they need to take decisions Anthony Fitzgerald Tiffin School

Connexions School PA
Hello, I am a Connexions School PA in Lambeth and the school I work in has recently bought the licence for fast tomato. Do you have any suggestions on how to use it effectively with year 8 students? Also, are there any useful resources for year 10 students for group work in order to help them decide what to do after year 11?
