DEVOLUTION & DIVERSIFICATION: Career Guidance Structures in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
The Institute of Career Guidance hosted a symposium, which brought together five of the six authors who contributed to the ‘Devolution & Diversification edition of the British Journal of Counselling & Guidance (2006, Volume 34, pp1-91). The aim of the BJGC symposium edition was to review, critically, the different structures of career guidance that are evolving in England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. Expert observers in each of the four ‘home countries’ were commissioned to write a paper, which offers an analysis of key issues and of the challenges, which need to be addressed. Overhead transparencies from each of the four presentations can be accessed from the main NGRF site 'what's going on where?' Devolution and Diversification.

I made a quick and dirty conversion of the powerpoint slides to PDF files on white backgrounds, suitable for printing. I'm posting them as attachments to this reply.
Thanks for posting the presentations rom last week's Derby symposium, Lucy. Since I personally prefer to read things on paper (and also because I do not have a legal copy of Microsoft Powerpoint :o), I converted them to PDF files on white backgrounds. The conversion is quick and dirty, but good enough. You should also find that the "preview" feature is available for these files... check the listings above for the files to see if the quick and convenient "preview" link is present. (The preview link - when it works - lets you very quickly get a feel for the contents of a file before you download it). For the originally posted PPT files, no useful preview was available, so the system did not offer the link. |
