Comparing guidance functions with that of museums provides possible benchmarking for functions that museums perform better than counseling functions. Such comparisons provide insights to both areas and can fuel growth and improvement.
One of the problems we face here in Texas is the lack of acquiring standard proceedures between offices and individuals. It is just difficult to keep up to date. By benchmarking against an organization that is very skilled at such a task, improvements can be made. It was suggested that we see how airlines keep everyone up to date. This kind of data can provide excellent sources for research on improvememt techniques, J. Patrick, Texas USA
