Is anyone out there involved in working with PDPs in HE from a career guidance / career management / career planning perspective?
In this institution we are approaching PDPs through the personal tutor systems but myself and my colleague are looking specifically at developing a career management module for final year students which will cover career choice and decision making and link to PDPs. Is anyonme involved in anything similar and interested in sharing ideas? Useful starter paper re this is 'Developing Career Management Skills in Higher Education' (NICEC/CRAC Project Report by David Huster et al).

Intertested in sharing ideas on integrating Career Management Skills into curriculum in HE?
Graham I'm just starting to have a look at this area at Roehampton University and would be interested in sharing ideas on how best to approach this so a win-win for students and academics. I am very interested in what you are planning for 3rd year undergrads.

2 PDP in higher education

We are looking at this at warwick at the moment. A pilot of PDPs in academic departments is just coming to completion. We have a 'career management skills' module as part of the stand alone 'Warwick Skills Certificate', but it is not scalable to be available for all. Trying to put these things together at the moment, so I would be interested in sharing ideas. Gill Frigerio Manager of Careers Education and Guidance
