About the National Guidance Research Forum Website

The National Guidance Research Forum website is created and maintained by guidance researchers and practicioners in the UK to make available the latest thinking and evidence on evidence-based guidance practice

The partnership responsible for overall site development and project management:

  • The development of the website was managed by Jenny Bimrose and Alan Brown from the University of Warwick Institute for Employment Research (IER), together with:
  • Deirdre Hughes at the Centre for Guidance Studies at the University of Derby (CeGS).
  • The KnowNet designed and implemented the website, which is based on the Plone and Zope open-source content-management systems.

Purpose:

  • To bring together research and practice in guidance to increase effectiveness.

Objectives:

  • To create and support an on-line community of interest for guidance;
  • To bring practice, research and policy closer together;
  • To focus on the core problems of guidance practice.
