Ethical standards related to the use of ICT in information, advice and guidance
The occurrence and severity of ethical problems can be reduced, though not entirely eliminated, by establishing ethical standards that are appropriate and achievable.
It will not be possible to eliminate ethical problems in the distance provision of information, advice, and guidance. The occurrence and severity of ethical problems can, however, can be reduced by establishing and following ethical standards that are appropriate and achievable. Table 1 provides a partial listing of ethical standards that can be used to guide the design and use of ICT-based resources and services.
