Work-related learning
Work-related learing baseline study (2004)
From September, 2004, there is a new statutory requirement for work-related learning at key stage 4. Under this requirement, all young people should experience some work-related learning at key stage 4.
Work related learning is defined as: ‘planned activity that uses the context of work to develop knowledge, skills and understanding useful in work, including learning through the experience of work and working practices and learning the skills for work.
This study by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority has been carried out to identify the current provision of work-related learning at key stage 4 so that we can measure the impact of the new statutory requirement.
