Editorial Comment:

Summary

This study examines the influences on the career decision-making of ethnic minority pupils at the end of key stage 4 in a large co-educational comprehensive school in an urban city area. It sets out to identify those to whom pupils attribute influence; to measure the impact of the careers adviser and teachers as positive influences within the process; and to ascertain if there is any association between the ethnic origin of the pupils and those to whom they turn to for advice. It also discusses some implications for careers education and guidance.
