From October 2006, legislation legislation has made it unlawful to discrimate on the basis of age. Here you will find links to key documents related to the legislative process on age.
The implications of age in relation to practice are explored here in a variety of ways. Firstly, through a link to theory relating to multicultural counselling, which regards 'age' as one aspect of 'culture', broadly defined as an aspect of disadvantage. Secondly, through links to resources that consider the inter-relationship between age and career guidance and finally through discussion among a group of practitioners, researchers, trainers and managers around the challenge of considering age in the context of guidance.
