The policies that frame work-related learning

A recent review of UK skills and education strategy was produced by Will Hutton and The Work Foundation was published in March 2005: 

  •  'Where are the gaps? An Analysis of UK Skills and Education Strategy in the light of the Kok Group and European Commission Midterm Review of the Lisbon goals'

The Kok Group report, published in November 2004, challenged European governments to revitalise and accelerate their plans to create the architecture for a knowledge economy:

An earlier Cabinet Office Performance and Innovation Unit (2001) produced a report on workforce development that had a vision that “In 2010, the UK will be a society where Government, employers and individuals actively engage in skills development to deliver sustainable economic success for all.” This report is no longer available from the government website, so is available as a file download below:
